VICAL delves into the universe of Natural Luxury with its new OUTDOOR collection, designing furniture that is much more than just its features. In collaboration with Valencian designer Pep Gramage, we step into an imaginary where materials regain their leading role.
The pieces in this collection focus on the use of recycled teak wood and are the leitmotif for a discourse based on comfort, as well as pleasant, organic shapes. Each piece follows a craft process, making them unique and subject to imperfections, like a sublime and singular act. They establish a direct, genuine dialogue with the outdoors so the materials can combine and connect with nature.
VICAL invites us to discover true Natural Luxury and create settings that dignify and listen to the materials. In its new OUTDOOR collection, the brand opens the doors to a new way of outdoor living, reconnecting with nature and letting it surround us.
“True natural luxury must unite with the material”. With this clear declaration of intent, VICAL presents its new OUTDOOR line alongside designer Pep Gramage. The Valencian designer has created a collection where minimalist warmth unites with the material to transform outdoor spaces into something intimate that pays tribute and elevates the craft process.
Gramage has created simple yet powerful pieces for this collection. The pure lines are a result of a reflection on space. “There is no separation: the furniture creates the place and the moment”, says the designer. They certainly have soul and build themselves. Recycled wood delves into the concept of sustainability and offers a clean view in this regard, as the furniture reconstructs its shapes to give life to new pieces.
Wood lives and breathes, seeking to unite with the materials. Furniture that is made not only to resist the outdoors, but to become a part of it. The pieces combine with fabrics especially designed for comfort and to ensure they are weather-resistant without losing their natural and organic essence. Timeless, functional and sustainable furniture that subtly integrates into the environment, creating an enveloping beauty.
“Pure” is an invitation to calm contemplation. In this piece, the simple play of balance rocks the composition. Lines and diagonals become a clear plea for pure consistency, clean visuals supported by a slanted plane, expressly designed to inhabit the moment. Comfort in the shape of wood; material and concept merge to create a perfect, organic, calm structure.
The elegance of this sofa is the combination of two concepts: lightness and sturdiness. The head and backrest are a single enveloping piece that embraces the sofa, creating an intimate space with rattan as the stand-out material. The sofa rests on a recycled teak wood base: a structure that supports and elevates it, giving a delicate and subtle sensation of weightlessness.
An infinite curve traces the lines of this armchair, designed to create an atmosphere of static movement. Its arms surround the piece in a constant flow of form, where the wood showcases its fittings and reveals its nature. It invites you to rest, to notice its carefully crafted textures that are meant to caress. “Corva” is an armchair that embraces you, resting firmly on its own structure.
Straight lines take over the material to create this 3-seater sofa. Its bases balance its weight in such a way that it appears to float. Stunning pieces due to their light visuality, adding to an evocative image of simplicity. The structure coexists with the setting, playing with full and empty spaces where symmetry becomes the essence of rest and relaxation.
