The interiorism and furniture brand VICAL cooperates with Valencia World Design Capital 2022 in one of the events of WDC Street Festival and the Design Windows exposing its creation Mr. VICAL.

The furniture brand VICAL has worked hard in order to be present in all the events related to the WDC, and to contribute to these events taking part in the Street Festival, since Hábitat is part of the activities of Valencia World Design Capital 2022.

The Design Windows will expose design pieces and sculptures in different Valencia squares. Any person will have the opportunity to admire and contemplate these pieces exposed in the street, thus approaching these real works of art to everybody.

VICAL proposal for its Design Window is Mr. Vical, a strange gentleman who is wearing one of his best suits for this occasion, one belonging to the VICAL collection called Plissé, designed by estudihac-jmferrero.

In Mr. VICAL different furniture pieces are combined, wood statues with natural stone, as well as braided rattan with invisible metal structures, creating natural graphic textures that give volume to the pieces.

A union concept in which furniture, art and design are involved with the aim of catching the attention and interest of the visitors.

“Plissé” collection is the one supporting the idea of Mr. VICAL, and is inspired by the exciting life of the multifaceted Mario Fortuny and the contribution to the craftwork of the Parisian company Lognan. The central concept of this collection lies in the thorough and handmade production of pleated materials, which makes that each piece becomes unique.

We will remember year 2022 as the one in which Valencia was the World Design Capital. During this year many different events have taken place in order to highlight the importance of the design and all its aspects. In September the most important events related to decoration and furniture have taken place, in parallel with all the events in Valencia, and VICAL had to be present in all of them.
